An Attempted Robbery

Once upon a time there was a ATM (automated teller machine) where people would pull up, get out of their cars and draw cash. One night while a victim was at the machine, a suspect (who was believed to be a homeless person because of his dress) came out of the bushes and told the victim he was going to rob him. The victim didn't see a weapon so she made it to her vehicle before the suspect could stop her. she locked the doors and drove away from the would-be robber. The next day the robbery detective had the victim do a composite sketch of the suspect. After the sketch, a bulletin was created and disseminated to the road patrol. It wasn't long before the suspect was recognized as a local transient, identified, and picked out from a photo line-up. The suspect was brought in to the office, interviewed, and confessed. The suspect was promptly charged with attempted robbery.
