The Escort

St. Michael, the Archangel -
Patron saint of police officers.

The name Michael signifies "Who is like to God?" and was the war cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against Satan and his followers. Holy Scripture describes St. Michael as "one of the chief princes," and leader of the forces of heaven in their triumph over the powers of hell. He has been especially honored and invoked as patron and protector by the Church from the time of the Apostles. Although he is always called "the Archangel," the Greek Fathers and many others place him over all the angels - as Prince of the Seraphim.

"The Escort" is an oil painting, 30x40, on canvas, of Saint Michael, escorting a fallen Deputy/Police Officer into heaven.  Originally designed for the Orange County LEO Memorial, and dedicated to officers killed in the line of duty, the painting now will hang at the Orange County Sheriff's Office, over the wall of honor.

Full color lithographs are available, signed and numbered, 18x24, for $75.00 each (10 at a time for $45.00) a percentage is donated to the Orange County LEO Memorial.  There are only 500 lithographs printed.  To order contact sfusco@mpinet.net .
